Stand up if not

5 min

Blood flow is important for brain activity. If your team was sitting for too long, this energising activity will help to be a tiny bit healthier physically and, as a result, mentally too.

The idea is to let team members answer with their body instead of words. Below is the list of questions that work best after I polished it with three teams. Most importantly, this activity works great in a remote set up too!

Ask them to stay seated only if they answer “YES” to the question you ask. This is counterintuitive but it adds fun.

One by one start reading the questions:

  • Have you ever:
  • … been to the US (or Asia depending where you are)?
  • … been horse riding?
  • … eaten your colleague’s snacks?
  • … started a company?
  • … accidentally set something on fire?
  • … donated blood?
  • … been arrested?
  • … lied on social media?
  • … witnessed a crime?
  • … returned something to online shop after you wore it?
  • … ate the last piece of pizza without asking?
  • … marched in a protest?
  • … gone skiing or snowboarding?
  • … lost/won more than $(€, etc) 50 gambling?
  • … fallen asleep at work?
  • … fallen in love with a coworker?
  • … played video games for 10+ hours a day?
  • … helped a friend move?
  • … lost your wallet?
  • … used a fake ID?
  • … lied about your age?

Make sure to customise the questions to fit your team. Have fun!
